American Legion Riders Post 104
Armed Forces Day Poker 2007

The American Legion Riders of Post 104 sponsored and held their Annual Armed Forces Day Poker Run and Cookout. It was a great success. Everyone had a good time and the weather was perfect. The Riders started at Post 104 and had stops at American Legion Post 252 in Seminole, American Legion Post 125 on Treasure Island and AMVETS Post 8 in St. Petersburg. The run ended back at Post 104 with a cookout that started at 2 pm.

It was donated to the American Legion Riders of Post 104 by Chief Warrant Officers Donald Hunter and Darrel Hasler of Company B, 1/277 Aviation Regiment (Attack/Reconnaissance) 1st Air Calvary Brigade, 1st Calvary Division.

No one left the post hungry. BBQ Pork, Chicken, Oysters, Clams and Shrimp were served up by the bushel. Everyone had a good time and the event raised money for a couple good causes. Part of the proceeds are went to the Helping Hospitalized Veterans organization and the rest went to Fisher House.
It was a great Armed Forces Day celebration. Veterans from all over the bay area got together to share camaraderie. We look forward to doing it again next year.
